We ask, Student answers!

“Today is the last week in Saigon. The week we need to say goodbye to our classmates, exchange students, buddies, our department, our guard, and many other important things. It has been a pleasure having this opportunity to combine studies, internships, and living our best lives.

While arriving in Saigon, the University made a WhatsApp group, which was the start of our journey. People from different countries (Sweden, France, Germany, Spain, Czechoslovakia) were united and started to discover Vietnam together as a group. The barriers between us broke from day one and it felt like we knew each other from our previous life. We never knew that these people will be so important after only six months together.

In Vietnam, there is so much to see, and we still feel that we haven’t seen everything. Some of the cities we discovered were Hanoi, Hoi An, Danang, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Phu Quoc, Halong Bay, and Mekong Delta. We made all of this as a group (climbing, swimming, exploring, etc.).

The buddies gave us some advice as they are the experts in this country which made the trips much easier. We could also find out the hidden things the tourist doesn’t know about.

Furthermore, we had the opportunity to see another country far, far from our home, and a culture that differs a lot from ours (which we learned a lot from). One of the most important lessons we found from this country is how polite people in Vietnam are, so happy and they are also living their life at the moment, they are enjoying all the small things (we will definitely take that with us).

We want to thank the University for all the help (especially Ms. Tram for responding and helping with all the questions we had).

This trip, with these people, will always be an important chapter in our life ❤️ “
